Internationally, to and from major ports worldwide by air and sea. Within the Philippines, we reach inland ports across the country and run trucking nationwide.
Shipping basics
What is the difference between LCL and FCL?
LCL (less than container load) means your cargo shares a container with other shippers. FCL (full container load) means you have the whole container. LCL usually suits smaller shipments; FCL usually suits larger volumes.
Should I ship by air or by sea?
Air is faster and suits urgent, lightweight or high-value goods. Sea is typically more cost-effective for heavy or bulky cargo when you have more time. Tell us your deadline and budget and we’ll recommend the best fit.
What does a customs broker do?
A customs broker prepares and submits the documents needed to clear your goods through customs, and follows the process until your shipment is released. We handle this for both imports and exports.
Documents
What documents are usually needed to import?
Most shipments need a commercial invoice, a packing list, and a bill of lading (sea) or air waybill (air). Some goods also need permits or clearances from regulatory agencies before they can be released. Requirements depend on what you’re shipping, so we’ll confirm exactly what applies to your cargo.
Packaging
What kind of packaging should I use?
The right packaging depends on your goods and how they’ll travel. These are the most common types for general cargo:
- Fiberboard boxes and cartons for goods that are neither fragile nor heavy.
- Bags for commodities like fertilizer, grain, seeds, dried fruit, sugar, coffee, flour, salt, and mineral sands or ores.
- Wooden cases have strong walls that bear loads, and suit goods sensitive to heat or dampness when lined with insulating material or sealed plastic.
- Wooden crates are built like a frame, often for large machinery or as an extra outer layer around boxes and cartons.
- Bales for goods compressed and bound tightly, such as fabric, hay or cotton.
- Shrink wrap seals bags or boxes to a pallet with heat-shrunk plastic, forming one stable unit.
Can you pack or crate my cargo for me?
Yes. We offer crating and packing services so your shipment is protected and arrives undamaged. See warehousing, crating and packing.
